2017.07.04 Canada selects Ukrainian: training for exporters was held in Kherson

On July 4th, the Executive Director of the Canadian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Emma Turos, met entrepreneurs, government officials, chambers of commerce, the public, consultants from Odesa, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions. The theme of the discussion was "Export of Ukrainian goods to Canada. Practical cases at first sight".

During the event, a project to support Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses and investments of CUTIS was launched, aimed to stimulate export of Ukrainian goods to Canada. During the project, the Canadian side examined the needs of Canadian consumers and selected five the most promising product groups to work with: shoes, clothes, furniture, chocolate and IT services. 

Emma Turoos provided the practitioners with practical advice on the export of goods to Canada, described the features related to the import of the product groups mentioned above, answered the questions of those participating in the training. In general, the meeting took place in the format of discussion.  

Ms. Turos spoke about the permanent work of the Chamber in the way to organize business missions of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and the participation of Ukrainian producers in international industry exhibitions in Canada. In addition, she outlined a handbook highlighting the practical aspects and key issues involved in the successful export of goods to Canada. In the future, the manual will be distributed among Ukrainian commodity producers.
